Why You Do Not Need a Certificate

Home Staging is a matter of talent and is not governed by any accrediting agency!

How I became a Successful Home Stager without imitation Certifications or artificial accreditations!

Please don’t waste your money on a Certificate or Accreditation which is not necessary and is only worth the paper it is printed on.

Believe me – in my prior career as a Nursing educator I wrote curriculum and designed courses which actually did require approval by genuine accrediting boards and certificates from actual State licensing agencies.

Home Staging is a matter of taste, creativity and talent. Good taste is not something that is measurable, except by subjective opinions. Creative abilities are not governed by any State or municipality. A genuine certification is only something that is required if an individual is working in a position whereby their measurable skills,  if not qualified, could physically harm their client.

No government agency is policing whether or not a home stager has good taste nor do they care. Your success rate and your reputation will be the only qualifier you need.

If you want a Certificate I will give you one!

Go ahead- please take these expensive online courses for information if you like but not for the certificate. The certification agencies are just marketing gimmicks to get you to buy a piece of paper from the so called expert.

If you would like a certificate. Go to Staples and print one up yourself!  That is all it is worth!

And if you must have one – I will give you one for free- from the

“National Homestaging Accreditation Department”

or from the

“Federal Association for the Accreditation of Home Staging Curriculum”

or from the

“North American Masters in Home Staging Certification Authority” – take your pick!

Diplomas and certificates are not necessary to be a Home Stager!

That being said if the individuals who offer expensive courses which lead to the distribution of a pretty certificate offer some useful material that you are interested in – by all means purchase the information. But please be aware that some of the courses out there are also being sold to you by the same internet marketing companies which offer courses in floral arrangement, medical technology, cake decorating and pipe fitting. They just take their teaching model and fill in the blanks with various subject matter. And they are making a lot of money doing it -especially with today’s high unemployment rate.

Please don’t waste your money on a Certificate or Accreditation which is not necessary and is only worth the paper it is printed on.

I can tell you how I did it. It was not difficult and I did not take one certification course. With hard work, a little creative talent, good taste and people skills, I built a successful Home staging business. I work at my own pace and I have more than enough work. I even have enough work to keep my college graduate children employed! I love what I am doing and it has enabled me to expand my money making capabilities to several other ventures as well.

Another Warning!

Home Stagers who are regularly employed do not make $1,000 plus a day.

The average home seller or realtor can not afford such high rates.  Those prices are for TV shows such as “Selling New York” and other fantasy shows on HGTV.  In truth you  can make a good income while helping people at the same time but this not  a  get rich quick occupation.
